The generosity of others
During Wyatt's 7.5 short months of life I have made new friends and connected with old friends. And I have experienced generosity from people I know and people I don't know. It's amazing the impact one little person can have on the world!
Anyway, today I wanted to share the incredible thing a friend of my dads, and a new friend of mine did for us. She shipped us a buttload of calming cream samples. There are 16 to a box and she sent me 8 boxes, plus a box of itch relief {haven't tried that one yet but I'm def. tucking it away to try in the future} and a pad of $1 off coupons that I can use on any Beiersdorf product. How awesome is she?!
These are going to be the perfect size for when I need to touch up an area on Wyatt when I'm out and about for a minute and I don't want to carry a ginormous bottle of lotion around with me.
It's amazing that she thought of us and even more amazing that she sent these out to me.
Thanks Myrna! You're the bomb.com! (:

I went to the dentist yesterday and had 3 fillings done. THREE. No matter how good I brush and floss I always get cavities... it's a curse :/ Anyway, the fillings were on both sides of my mouth so I came home with almost my entire face numbed up. As soon as I said hello to Wyatt he started cracking up and so the following video was made.

Thanks Beiersdorf!
Thanks to Beiersdorf {the makers of aquphor and eucerin} and their medical donation program, Christmas started early at our house this year! I woke up to not one, but TWO boxes of lotion on my doorstep this morning. :)
When I called and ordered Wyatt's aquaphor last week I mentioned to the lady I was talking to that Wyatt had begun to use their Calming Cream. I asked if he could qualify to receive that through their program as well if we got a letter from his dr. as we did for the aquaphor. She said yes and did I want to wait for her to send out the shipment so that she could include the calming cream? I told her if she would please just ship out the aquaphor, that I would call again when I was able to get the new letter from Wyatt's dr. {who is amazing btw and had the letter emailed to me by the next day!} Anyway, that nice lady went ahead and just sent me the lotion anyway! Merry Christmas to us!
I am so grateful to Beiersdorf and their willingness to help those in unusual circumstances. If it weren't for them we would have to spend a GRIP on lotions every week. The approximate value of what they just sent is $300! That aquaphor should last a little over a month and I'm not sure how long the lotion will last as I've just started using it, but they really are making a big difference in our lives.
Thanks Beiersdorf!

Families are forever
There's this song I learned in church when I was a child that I love to this day.
It's called 'Families Can Be Together Forever'
It's been on my mind a lot lately.
It's been on my mind a lot lately.
Here are the lyrics
1. I have a fam’ly here on earth.
They are so good to me.
I want to share my life with them through all eternity.
[Chorus]
Fam’lies can be together forever
Through Heav’nly Father’s plan.
I always want to be with my own family,
And the Lord has shown me how I can.
The Lord has shown me how I can.
2. While I am in my early years,
I’ll prepare most carefully,
So I can marry in God’s temple for eternity.
I was born and raised in a family that were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's a christian religion and the members of the congregation are known as Latter-Day Saints, LDS for short, or more commonly known as 'Mormons'.
During my life I struggled with different things as everyone does. There came a time where religion wasn't important to me. I didn't want to go to church or do church things. Why? I have no idea because my faith has never waivered. I think I was just being an obnoxious teenager.
Anyway, when I was 19 I met this awesome guy that was also Mormon and we started dating. I knew he was 'the one' from the moment I met him.
We met in October, were engaged in February and married by the end of July. Jared and I were sealed for time and all eternity in the San Diego Temple. It's a gorgeous temple!
6 years later we've been blessed with the cutest little booger on the planet.
I'm so thankful that I met Jared and that he was worthy to take me to the temple. I love knowing that I'll be with them for the rest of forever as long as I live a worthy life. I love knowing that we'll get to be with Michael again. The thing I love the very most about my religion is that families are the core. There is nothing in this world more important than family!
