So I've discovered that there is a whole world of blogging and apparantly it's the thing to do, so I've decided to give it a go. I'll start by telling about Jared and me. Jared is the youngest of 9. He has 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Frankie, Craig and Ben all live in Utah and Jared misses living around them sooo much. Crystal and Wendy both live in Cali but Misty, Gayle and Echo all live back east so we don't see them very often. Jared loves to go out on his quad every chance he can possibly get and he makes the best breakfast bagels and brownies know to man. :) He works for Sheldon Fire Extinguisher Co. Inc. as a serviceman so he's out on the road all day every day and gets to interact with lots of different kinds of people. I think his favorite are the asians that demand a discount (j/k!). He likes it except for the fact that he's by himself all day long and it can get pretty boring and very repetitive. Anyone you ask will tell you that Jared is a really hard worker and is willing to help anyone that needs it. A year after we got married we decided to rent a house from Jared's parents which happens to be right next door to them. The house needed to be fixed up quite a bit because the previous renters had been there for about 8 years and didn't take very good care of it. Jared did most of the work needed. He and two of his brothers layed tiled, all the walls were painted, new cabinets installed in the kitchen, the bathroom was basically torn out and redone.. he just really did an amazing job and the house doesn't even look the same. Jared was recently called to be the Scout Master in our ward and he was also called as the 2nd counselor in the Young Men's program. He is really enjoying it so far and is doing a really good job in getting the boys to go to the activities.
As for me, I have two brothers and three sisters all younger than me. Jason lives in Utah, Kristin lives in Idaho, and the rest of the family is back in St. Louis so I don't get to see them very often. :( I'm working on convincing my parents to move out here, though that doesn't seem to be working very well. Oh well. I'm currently employed at Subaru of Ontario, Ontario Mitsubishi which is about 30 miles from my house. I'll be happy when I can quite and don't have to make the drive every day, but I really like all of the people that I work with so that's a bonus. Since Jared has a lot of his time taken up with church and work, I'm finding myself with more free time that I don't really know what to do with it. So I've decided to run a half marathon this year. Instead of sitting on the couch watching TV I'm getting out and going running, I've been eating healthier, and I just feel like a different person now. I've lost 3 inches off of my waist already! Although, I'm super nervous! This will be one of the hardest things I've ever done before, but I know it will be super rewarding. Plus my dad and brother are going to come out and run it with me so at least I will get to see them! :)
Alright, well I think that's enough for now. Bye!
