In my experience, big sisters are always so very protective of their little siblings. Especially our little sisters. Us big sisters, we know everything. We've already been down that road that you think you want to go down... we dated a guy just like the one that you think you know you're in love with and why can't you see that he's so bad for you? OR we would NEVER date a guy like that and what are you thinking?!
I've always been a little overboard protective of my sister just younger than me. I'm not quite sure why, I just always have been. Maybe it's because when we were little we shared a room so we spent a lot of time together. Maybe it's because she always wanted to be like me. I'm not quite sure what the reason is, but whatever the reason I just can't seem to help myself. My sister and I have had some especially tough times together. Luckily we've been able to get past those rough spots and are now the best of friends.
I have a dear friend who is now going through kind of the same situations but different. I've been thinking about her a lot and I really feel for her. It's so hard to see our little sisters doing things that you know aren't things that they really want to do... trying to be something that they are not, and you can see that they hate themselves for it. I love you my friend and I know that your sister will make it. Especially since she has awesome you as an example to live up to. :)
