Last Weekend

On Thursday we left for Glamis.  :)  Jared's friend Mitchell flew down to go with us, the in-laws went, and so did sister-in-law Crystal and her little family.  This was probably one of the most fun Glamis trips that we've been on.
When we got down there on Thursday around 10ish.  We set up our tent and then we went on a night ride.  We didn't get back until 2 AM!  I've never been out riding that late before, but it was soo much fun!
On Friday we went out on our first real ride and after not that long, Mitchell crashed.  He smashed his chin into the gas cap and cut it in two places pretty good.  There was blood everywhere.  So we went back and Jared and I took him to the ER where he got 4 stitches in one cut and 6 in the other.  When we got back we just hung out and played games so he could emotionally recover from the accident.
Saturday morning we went on a ride with everyone.  Even Mom Barney went!  Although, she just sat in the truck on the ride over to Oldsmobile hill.  BUT she went, and that is a big deal.  After we got back the wind started blowing.  It blew all day Saturday and all day Sunday.  Saturday it was 15-25 mph with gusts up to 37 mph and then sunday it was consistantly blowing about 25+ mph with gusts that went over 40.  Last time the wind was this bad was when we went for Thanksgiving and the freaking wind obliterated our tent.  So this time we learned from that.  We took our stuff out of the tent and then laid the tent down.
In spite of the wind, all the boys and I still went on a ride.  We were gone for like 3 hours and it was sooo much fun. :)  The wind finally chilled out around 10 pm so we set it up, swept half of Glamis out of it and put our stuff back in.  I was really happy we didn't lose that tent.  Those things aren't cheap!
When we woke up on Monday morning it was PERFECT.  We went on a really nice wind free ride.  Too bad we couldn't stay all day because it was seriously perfect.
All in all it was a really fun last trip of the season.  I can't wait until this fall!!!!
