Dear Wyatt,

You are five days old today... and as I sit here watching you sleep I can't help but feel overwhelmed.  I am so lucky to be blessed to have you as my beautiful little boy.  The love that I feel for you is truly indescribable.  I thought I knew everything there was to know about love after I met your daddy, but you just took love to a whole new level.  Words really can't explain it, but when you have a child of your own, you'll know what I mean. 

I think that you and I knew each other in Heaven and I think that we decided that we wanted to be a family here on this Earth.  You, Michael, daddy and me {plus more siblings in the future}. I don't know why Michael didn't need to stay on the Earth longer than he did, but maybe one day Heavenly Father will fill us in on it.   And you came a lot earlier than I thought you were going to.  Were you just so excited to see daddy and me that you couldn't help yourself?  I like to think so.  I think we 3 are going to make a really good team.  I hope you like daddy and I as your parents. 

You are already such an example to me of perseverence and beating the odds.  The dr.'s said you wouldn't make it after Michael left us, but you sure showed them.  And now, here you are, 27 weeks 4 days gestation and you are fighting for your life each and every day.  Did you know that your name means 'little warrior'?  I think daddy and I named you well.  You are the bravest, strongest fighter that I know.  I am just so proud of you. 

I know that things are still shaky right now, but you just keep fighting on little man.  Mommy loves you and I can't wait until I can hold you in my arms.
