Yesterday I went in to HRC for pregnancy test #2.
I think they like to do two tests to confirm that the different hormone levels are increasing like they should.
Great news, I'm still pregnant :)
Here are my new numbers:
HCG: 7821.8
{last week is was 546.2}
Progesterone: 399.48
Estrogen: 2571.2
Soooo... what do these numbers mean?
According to HRC, and my dad
multiples.
Dr. Wilcox doesn't want to wait 3-4 weeks to do an ultrasound.
He wants me in next week. :)
We're pretty excited.
He's having us in to verify that there are in fact multiples and to see how many.
Did you know that you can see your baby's heartbeat through a vaginal ultrasound at just 6 weeks pregnant?
We'll get to see our little babies heartbeat{s} next week!
Eek!!!
I'm trying soooo hard not to just tell everyone I know that I'm having twins because it hasn't been verified yet... but the numbers really do speak volumes.
I can't wait until next week!

Based on the fact that you are married to a Sasquatch, I think that the high hormone levels mean that your baby is going to come out hairier than any baby in the history of the universe. No offense.
ReplyDeletevaginal ultra... I had one of those at 6 weeks with Brad. Torture!!! You have to drink a ton of water and than they stick this divise up your crotch. It so hard not to pee everywhere.

ps hope you have twins
Twins are so fun. Chad and I were so happy when we found out we were having twins. They are work, but goodness they are soo worth it. Congratulations! :) Let me know if you need any advice or help with anything.

Everyone always tells me how torturous ultra sounds are because they make you drink so much water and all that, but my ob never had me do that, in fact the ultra sound tech would always let me go to the bathroom right before the ultrasound so they were easy. Still vaginal ultra sounds aren't pleasant but they weren't torture for me (well except one but that was during a miscarriage and I was hemorrhaging all over the place...tmi). It's so nice to hear the heartbeat though... You're totally going to cry. :)
