Chocolate Chip Cookies

I'm in a cookie kind of mood today so I thought I'd share a recipe for cookies that I love love love! :)  The Cub Scout Leader in our ward bakes the following treats for the boys on a regular basis and always makes a round to all the adults that are there too.  Yay!  It's just the nestle tollhouse recipe but instead of white sugar, you put in instant vanilla pudding.  Delicious!

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Nestle Chocolate chips

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

We made a double batch the other day because we needed to give a bunch away and we wanted leftovers and we just froze the rest of them in a ziploc bag.  They freeze soooo well!  I just let them thaw out on the counter for a few minutes and they're good to go.  :)
