I love my dentist...

but I hate my teeth.  My whole life I've always been self conscious of my mouth.  Here's a little history with me and my teeth.  When I was a kid I hated brushing my teeth and I wouldn't do it if I could get away with it.  My teeth were pretty crooked and I had a baby tooth that never fell out, then it had a huge cavity in it and died and it turned gray.  My parents didn't get around to fixing that until my senior year of highschool.  That's when they finally decided to get me braces.  So my senior year of highschool up until I got married two and a half years later, I got to wear braces.  I hated it.  I look young for my age, but these braces REALLY made me look like a baby.
I got those suckers off 3 weeks before I was married and I was soooooo excited at how great my teeth looked.  Ever since, I have taken such good care of them.  I brush and floss and mouthwash every night just like you should.  But for some reason, every time I have a dental checkup there are more and more cavities.  I've only had one appt. in the past 5 years where I didn't have a cavity... and my mouth made up for it the next time by giving me 3.  I have a love hate relationship with my mouth.  I am loving to it and do everything I should but it just hates me back and give me stupid cavities.
I had a check up a couple of weeks ago and my poor dentist found 3 more cavities so I went in to have them filled yesterday.  He wanted to take 2 more x-rays and he freaking found TWO MORE!!!!! That's right.  So five cavities in the past 6 months.  What the freaking crap.  He filled 3 and I'll get the other 2 done in a couple of weeks.  I cried when I got home.
Today I get to go in and talk to Tod (he owns the dental office) and he's going to take the PH level of my mouth because apparently I might have acidic saliva along with my weak enamel.  Siiggghhhhh.  So fingers crossed that the dentist can get this figured out because this is just ridiculous.
